This month we are talking about pukininny olive oil, 100% NZ Extra Virgin Olive OIl, hand-picked and pressed locally.

As you drive out of Mangonui heading south when you look up from the road you see wonderful green hills covered in Grove after Grove of Olive trees. Turn into Midgley Road and you are smack in the middle of Olive growing country and one of our personal favourites is Pukininny Olives.  

As well as making a first rate Extra  Virgin Olive Oil they also offer guest accommodation with an exceptional view across Mangonui and beyond..  As their website says Keith and Barb (or Puki and Ninny as they are affectionately known by their family) are expert hosts, and we agree. Another one of our favourite places up here in our little piece of paradise.
